When you've done every job from fry cook to undertaker to camp-counselor to salesman and when you've played every honky-tonk from Richmond to Augusta and Knoxville to Beaufort you see a lot of interesting things. As the front man for The Carburetors it was up close and personal at times. The one thing that stands out from that experience is that regardless of religion, politics, money or sports teams everyone has the same set of problems. That's the inspiration for my songs.
